Nantes residents participation

South West France - Nantes Nantes residents can participate to Neighbourhood Committees of Consultations organised by the Town.
During those Consultations the interests of each resident are taken into consideration in a fair measure within the general interest of all the residents.
Any resident can attend those consultations along with their Neighbourhood Representatives or ‘Elus de quartier’. The debated issues are later published in the magazine  ‘Agir ensemble’ (Act together) released twice a year and free for collection in each Mairie.

In order to benefit from the experience and 'savoir-faire' of other European towns, Nantes is participating to the project –Revitalising Industrial Sites- (2004-2008) together with Medway and Torfaen (UK) as well as Hengelo and Tilburg (Netherland) and Stuttgart (Germany).

The European Cooperation Project has 3 themes of actions:
- The new financial and marketing techniques
- The development of  industrial sites and the Conservation of the National Heritage
- The participation of the Residents
